I loved this post and it was at the exact right time for me. I've been thinking a lot about how to be more playful in my life and how to bring/support/nourish a playful and joyful approach to learning in the classes that I teach (most of my students are going to be elementary teachers). Do you (or anyone else) have any recommendations of books/articles/posts that help adults (re)discover learning in a playful way?

So happy that the timing was fruitful for you! Some of my inspiration for play comes from writing that made me rethink how I actually want to spend my precious time (Brooke McAlary's writing on awe and cafre, Oliver Burkeman's "Four Thousand Weeks," Cody Cook-Parrott's "How to Not Always Be Working," etc.). I also love reading comics on Instagram from Nicole J. Georges and Lynda Barry--they're approaching life but through such a creative lens. As an educator, you might especially like seeing what Barry posts, because she's always sharing stuff that she has her students work on based on inspiring but specific instructions. I'm going to keep noodling on this, though, and let you know if I think of anything else! <3
