When You Have the Expertise But Lack Momentum
FIVE spots open for Success & Accountability Coaching
I am excited to announce that my books are open for FIVE new Success & Accountability Coaching clients to begin in August or September!
I invite you to join me for 6 months of hands-on support to make meaningful progress on your long-term goals without sacrificing your well-being along the way.
How frustrating is it to know that you have the skill set and knowledge to complete your project, yet you keep seeing your deadlines rush past you?
If you’re a professional scholar, you’ve likely been developing your skills and honing your expertise for years. I understand how aggravating it is when you’ve got the smarts to finish your dissertation, publish your book project, check off your to-do list on your way to tenure, etc. — but, despite being “busier” than ever before, it feels more like you’re treading water than winning races.
I’ve helped academics across various fields complete their most important projects—not because I’m a subject matter expert in computer science, or archeology, or public health, or musicology—but because I know how to guide folks through the process of making their complex, long-term goals actionable and achievable.
I only work with a small number of folks each year so I can dig deep and provide comprehensive support to each individual. Because I’m in conversation with my Success & Accountability Coaching clients every single week (and often multiple times per week) for six months, I can help them navigate obstacles in real time and keep up momentum as they chip away at our co-created set of manageable tasks.
I’m eager to support folks in progressing on projects this Fall like:
Applying to graduate school
Writing dissertations or articles or books
Navigating the job market
Managing research, teaching, and service
… And generally balancing all that knowledge work with being a living, breathing, human being who also wants to make art, have hobbies, and live in line with your values.
You know you have the skills and expertise because you DO have the skills and expertise. It might be that you just need someone in your corner, making sense of the chaos and cheering you on along the way.
So if you’re ready to finally turn your big, abstract project into something tangible and within reach, click here to get started.
Take care and talk soon,
Dr. Kate
Such a great initiative, Kate. Those areas can be so lonely!
