You can listen to an audio version of the free preview portion of this newsletter above. Please note that this is unedited and I’m recording in my home office. It’s nice out today and I have the windows open, so you may hear some traffic.
Here is a list of the things I’ve worked on during co-working sessions:
Read newspaper articles from the 1920s for my graduate school research
Brainstormed outlines for a journal article
Built my website
Painted my nails bright red the day before my Dissertation Defense
Walked into town to return a library book
Read my chapters of Tend to It: A Holistic Guide to Intentional Productivity out loud to myself to catch any typos
Planned my schedule for the next week in my bullet journal
As you can imagine, co-working is a great time to chip away at your scholarly or professional projects. It’s also a good time to knock out any aversive tasks that you’ve been avoiding but you know would go better if you had an accountability buddy cheering you on.
Whether you’re drafting your dissertation chapter or article, folding your laundry, doing meal prep, grading student papers, or something else entirely, I hope you’ll consider joining me this Friday June 16th for co-working, 2-5pm EDT on Zoom.
